South Africa has a progressive income tax system with varying rates based on income brackets. Employers are responsible for PAYE (Pay As You Earn) deductions and employer contributions to the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and the Compensation Fund. VAT stands at 15%.

South Africa introduced a National Minimum Wage (NMW) in 2018. However, sector-specific minimum wages may apply in certain industries. It's essential to check the latest regulations for the specific sector you operate in.

Standard working hours in South Africa are 45 hours per week, spread over five days. Overtime is permissible under specific conditions and attracts a premium.
